Who Should Attend the Training?
Any teacher, coach, specialist or coordinator that uses the Interwrite Pad should receive Digital Edge℠ Training. We welcome administrators to come to trainers and even see how they can hold digital staff meetings!

Are There Any Prerequisites to Attend the Advanced or Customized Trainings?
Yes, teachers should have already attended our 2-day Basic Training. This allows us to focus on instructional strategies and advanced tools, rather than be held back by the basic Interwrite functions.

My Principal Bought 10 Teacher Slots to Your Training Sessions. How Can We Decide Who Should Attend?
Dr. Larry Lazotte has spent 30 years looking at implementing change at schools. He states there are generally three groups of teachers.

Early Adopters - (Teachers that are excited about the technology and are more than willing to try something new. They also already have some technology proficiency).

Laggards - (Teachers that simply need to wait and see how the Early Adopters implement the new strategies).

Resistors - (Teachers that are apprehensive to new formats).

As we have worked with numerous schools, we have found that the best approach is to send Early Adopters to trainings first and allow them to take off and implement the Digital Delivery℠ strategies that they have learned. It is only a matter of time that the Laggards will come on board. Dr. Lezotte states that, "when the Early Adopters and Laggards have gotten on the bus, it is time to announce that change has taken place and the bus of change is moving".

There Are A Lot of Teachers at My School that Can Benefit from Digital Edge© Trainings, Can you Customize it for Our School?
Absolutely. If there are at least 10 teachers at your school site, we can customize trainings so that it is grade level specific or subject specific. This allows high school math teachers, for example, to see only high school math content, not other grade level content or other subject areas. In fact, some of our most successful schools are schools that have received Digital Edge℠ customized trainings by grade level (elementary) or by department (middle school and high school).

Do You Provide On-site Training?
Yes, trainers can do training at your school site with a minimum of 10 teachers. Traveling fees for our trainers may apply if further than 50 miles from our training center in Redlands.

What Will I Receive from Training?
Each teacher will receive a training binder that includes: sample lesson ideas, and non-digital resources, digital resources to customize your Interwrite gallery and stamps, digital resources, such as the CST Released Test Questions, technical support manual, and phone and email support. When trainings are grade level or department specific, you will also leave with collaborative lessons and templates that they made during the training.

What is Required from the School for Teacher Coaching?
The only thing that the school is responsible for providing is 1 roving sub per coach. Each coach can cover 4 teachers per day.
