Learn how to integrate digital instruction to attack the language barrier that exists in today's classrooms.

Formative Assessment:
Session (A): Teaches checking for understanding strategies with the CPS responders: during the beginning, middle, and end of a lesson; viewing student progress; and using Fastgrade to grade tests and homework assignments instantly.

Session (B): Teaches the advanced integration of checking for understanding by using ExamView, CPS, and the Mobi combined with the latest research on summative and formative assessment.

Language Arts
Session (A): Teaches the Icons of Depth & Complexity to introduce rigor, stimulate mental models, and encourage class discussions while embedding checking for understanding.

Session (B): Teaches the Content Imperatives in conjunction with the Icons of Depth & Complexity to support lesson design while embedding rigor, mental models, and encouraging class discussions.

Math
Session (A): Teaches designing content-specific digital lessons that: provide visual support for organizing students' thoughts; promote dialogue among students about their learning processes; and embeds questions to check for students' understanding.

Got Algebra: Teaches the importance of making visual, kinesthetic, and verbal connections with students through the use of digital and hands-on algebra tiles, while embedding checking for understanding.

Session (B): Teaches how to use foundational concepts to support struggling learners, while making connections across math strands through advanced digital lesson design techniques.

Social Studies
Session (A): Teaches the Icons of Depth & Complexity to introduce rigor, stimulate mental models, and encourage class discussions while embedding checking for understanding.

Session (B): Teaches the Content Imperatives in conjunction with the Icons of Depth & Complexity to support lesson design while embedding rigor, mental models, and encouraging class discussions.

Science
Session (A): Teaches designing content-specific digital lessons that: provide visual support for organizing students' thoughts; promote dialogue among students about their learning processes; and embeds questions to check for students' understanding.
